Our Commitment

Hexion Specialty Chemicals has committed to seven core values that define the ethical, cultural and operational beliefs of our business.  Hexion Core Value number one reads,

The Hexion Environmental, Health and Safety organization is dedicated to making this core value an integral part of all systems and standards and a defining segment of the responsibilities of every associate in the company.  In order to achieve this core value, the disciplines of employee & process safety, environmental control, product safety & regulatory affairs and health & industrial hygiene, must be pursued with an absolute target of continuing EHS excellence.

This is achieved in large part with an application of Hexion Core Value number six -

 "We are committed to excellence through the discipline of process and continuous improvement."

The result is the EHS Global Standards, a uniform set of requirements applied to every operating site and function for Hexion worldwide.  The objectives of every Hexion business reflect a uniform and consistent commitment to excellent EHS performance and an absolute stewardship aimed at minimizing risks from our processes and products.  In this way, EHS performance is not merely achieved by the EHS Department, but is the result of objectives imbedded within the core values of the business itself.
